President Obama Is A Jerk

"No, no. I have been practicing...I bowled a 129. It's like -- it was like Special Olympics, or something." --making an off-hand joke during an appearance on "The Tonight Show", March 19, 2009 (Obama later called the head of the Special Olympics to apologize)

"I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances." --after saying he had spoken with all the living presidents as he prepared to take office, Washington, D.C., Nov. 7, 2008 (Obama later called Nancy Reagan to apologize)

"It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." --explaining his troubles winning over some working-class voters

I am ever grateful for President Barack Obama. I cast my absentee ballot in New York with nothing but pride. I would be d*mned if I registered in buttf*ck Georgia. I'd rather cast a vote in a state the Prez was going to win rather than waste my time in that backwards *ss state like my classmates.

President appeals to the younger generation. In an effort to avoid using the Negro term "swagger," Obama embodies a suave confidence that escapes most politicians. He brings an honesty that escape all politicians.

A sometimes brutal, most times humorous honesty.

To me and many my age.

And that's the problem, because President Barack Obama is changing the social more concerning humor and turning us all into *ssholes. Consider some of the sh*t he has said above: while mass media has deemed many of this impromptu comments and jokes as inappropriate, I'm sure the masses think he is f*cking hilarious.

Yes I think most Americans are inappropriate. I think the human race is the most disrespectful species on the face of this planet. Deep down, everyone of us has a sick sense of humor that some felt obligated to keep hidden from the public.

That is until President Barack Obama took office.

Now we have analyst attempting to criticize the President, while lowkey admitting that they understand where he is coming from. I understand that we should be open and honest, be we are becoming jerks. You don't think it's a coincidence that "I'm A Jerk" and jerking is so popular?

Again, I do not believe that President Obama is turning us into jerks. We existed long before America even existed. Even now, there will always be a Republican or social conservative that claims higher moral ground right before they meet with their mistress(es). I do believe that our kind is becoming more tolerated, maybe even accepted.

Now I just hope I can still get a job.

When Keeping It Real Goes... Right? (09/07/09)

People in the safest neighborhoods are the dumbest. Some of the stores around my way have never been robbed (they're cool with all the bangers), but they still have metal gates. I'm not going to say Blacks or Latinos, but if there is some semblance of a chance that a less than affluent person will store, you should have gates.

It was just a matter of time.

Maia Campbell: Your Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt

Khaughton

MrHodohakaYngBo: #sayitaintso Maia Campbell is a knock (fein) now....Damn, all bad..I used 2 have a fake crush on her...LOL

Joneszilla: I'mma go to LA and pimp Maia Campbell, so don't #pray4maiacampbell til I get my money

Twitter and the blogosphere went crazy when WorldStarHipHop.com posted that vid of Maia Campbell. Many people were surprised by the how far her troubles have taken her, some people were really hurt and saddened by the scene. Some however... and I cannot call them a minority... thought that sh*t was hilarious.

I pride myself on being a jerk and douchebag, for saying what most won't. So for those who find this even remotely amusing, I ask you: are you out of your f*cking minds?

We have a young Black woman who needs help, support prayer. Forget who her mother is. Forget In The House. How would you feel if that was someone in your family who was been mocked and ridiculed by the world wide web? This isn't #uknowuacehood or #signedtoyoungmoney, this isn't a joke.

Black people are know for doing stupid sh*t. We are pretty good a poking fun at the modern day sambos, but also fairly quick at policing our most ignorant/stupid. In this case, we need to at least attempt to comfort or console our own. Maia is schizophrenic, unwilling to take her meds because of how they make her feel and turning to drugs to cope.

There's hope for Maia Campbell. We have to believe. We have to care.

Christian1885 I feel really bad for Maia Campbell...like my heart bleeds for her.
therPrade Did Maia Campbell get help yet? Praying aint enough. Or should i take the plane from Amsterdam to LA and kick some pimps and dealers butts?
Ascari27 the Maia Campbell story really fucked me up,to see sumbody go through that, and then to read the comments bloggers are leavin,SMDH

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong (09/03/09)

People... we have got to do better. I propose that Black people impose their own police to ensure that ghetto *ss messes like this lil travesty stop making it to mainstream America.

On another note, talk about inner thigh strength...

The Curious Case of Chris Brown

The hate and support Chris Brown now receives has grown at a feverish rate. First, let's look at the facts:
  • Chris Brown was born May 5, 1989 and is now 20 years old.
  • Chris Brown is a 4-time American Music Award recipient, 3 BET Awards, 3 Billboard Music Awards, 2 NAACP Image Awards, 2 MTV Awards and 4 Teen Choice Awards.
  • Chris Brown was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats. As a result of a plea deal, he was formally sentenced to five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and six months of community service; the judge retained a five-year restraining order on Brown, which requires him to remain 100 yards away from Rihanna, 10 yards at public events.
As a celebrity his life is cursed to be dissected and analyzed for the rest of his life, and maybe afterward. Until that lil temper tantrum, he was the sh*t. Out of all the Michael Jackson wannabes, people gave him the most props. He had the voice, the skill, and the appeal. He also had a good boy image that wasn't tarnished when people found out he was a man whore on the road. He had Rihanna, one of the hottest chicks in the game (depending on who you ask) and life was good.

Needless to say, this boy's image is f*cked. He is branded a woman beater, no matter if Rihanna had it coming or not. You can claim that she gave him herpes or she broke a television or whatever, he put hands to a woman and that's never right. Considering he's only 20, this is a pretty tough weight to carry for the rest of his public and/or natural life. I've only heard of two people being loved even though they brutalized the woman in their lives: B.I.G. and Pun... and they're dead.

The heat on Chris Brown spread like a California wildfire, but can be divided into two types: 1. anger from people that hate domestic abuse and the men who commit it and 2. hate. I understand the anger with stemming from those women who have had unfortunate experiences. The hate can be expected however. People have been waiting for Chris Breezy to slip for years, when you search for his apology on YouTube, you'll get more spoofs than the actual apology.

I would also say his career is f*cked as well, but this is the interesting part of Chris Brown's dilemma. It seems there is a still a great deal of support for this n*gga. There are the people who love him unconditionally, male and female. There are the women that love him but would kill him in his sleep if he ever put their hands on them. There are people who are ready to forgive him, if they have not already.

Then there are the people who hate Rihanna (Kids Blame Rihanna).

I would say that people should mind their business, but who ever does? In this case, who should? These are two are in the public eye, and there's no sense of privacy for celebrities. Whether Chris or Rihanna expected this much heat is irrelevant. Now they have to pick up the pieces of their images, reputations and careers and keep it moving.

Chris Brown would probably be okay if he stopped apologizing (or attempting to) and stuck to his music. Everyone wants to know why he mushed her face against the window of his Lamborghini door, but no one should know. And avoiding the subject during Larry King doesn't help. The fanatical support, or blistering hate, should calm it down, and people should focus on how he carries his life from here on out.

Should. But won't.

Chris Brown wanted to be like the late King of Pop. Well MiJac never lived down his demons, I'm sorry to say that Breezy's might haunt him from here on out.

When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong (08/29/09)

"I shot the b*tch because she gave me HIV."

I'm not going to front: I've made this statement a million times. HOWEVER, I have never intended to do this because: 1. I'm never getting HIV/AIDS and 2. I'm not a killer.

Mary J. Blige - The One ft. Drake

I really could care less about the rest of the video. I love Mary J. but I'm not thinking about The One. However, Drake's verse is REAL:

Uh oh
Okay I got these girls quite hype
Only thing on right now, like a night light
While my brother Wayne rockin' out like a white stripe
I'mma kill the game, I'm the Young Money white knight
Yeah, plus I'm looking for the right type
Cautious of a flood so I always lay the right pipe
West put me on the marquee, life light
Plus I go hard for the women that I might wife
I put the ring on her index finger
So if you wanna keep your girl, please don't bring her
I bet that I'm the type of guy that she got a thing for
You would block me but this ain't Jinga
Yeah and she someone I would work with
That's what I could tell from what she's showing on the surface.
I ain't saying that I'm requesting anyone that's perfect
But I just need a woman that'll make it all worth it
